JRSI Research Foundation
The Joint Replacement Surgeons of Indiana (JRSI) Research Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to conducting clinical and biomechanical research involving hip, knee and shoulder disorders, particularly related to hip and knee replacement, as well as treatment of shoulder and sports injuries.
The mission of the JRSI Research Foundation is to foster the advancement of hip and knee replacement surgical procedures, implants and survivorship in order to improve the long-term function and well-being of the patients who suffer from debilitating arthritis and associated disorders. The JRSI research foundation mission also includes a dedication to research involving shoulder injuries and treatments, cartilage injuries and restoration and sports injuries and the associated surgical solutions. In addition, the knowledge and data obtained through the clinical and biomechanical research is disseminated for the good and benefit of patients and orthopedic surgeons through publication in peer-reviewed journals. This is critical to the advancement of orthopedic surgery in our society and to foster the safety and improvement of patients throughout the entire world. This dissemination and sharing of knowledge is inherent in the mission of the JRSI Research Foundation and is fostered by a commitment from all of its members.
The research, implant development and dissemination of knowledge are carried out by the surgeons of JRSI. Assistance is also received from JRSI Research Foundation personnel, as well as medical school and engineering students.
