About Us
Joint Replacement Surgeons of Indiana represents the combination of two successful and well established orthopedic groups in Indiana. In 2000, two separate practices, The Center for Hip and Knee Surgery Physicians at St. Francis Hospital--Mooresville, which includes Drs. Ritter, Keating, Faris, Meding and Berend in Mooresville joined Jeffery Pierson at St. Vincent Center for Joint Replacement.
The impetus for combining the two groups grew out of a professional and collegial respect for one another and a mutual goal of performing high quality hip and knee replacement surgery dedicated to patient care. In addition to a dedication to their patients, each group member shared a mutual interest in quality orthopedic research to further advance the field and technology of hip and knee replacement surgery.
In 2005, two orthopedic surgeons, Drs. Bicos and Malinzak, were added to continue the tradition and dedication to patient care, while adding the expertise of sports medicine, cartilage restoration and shoulder surgery. The entire group, called Joint Replacement Surgeons of Indiana, is situated on two campuses to provide access to patient care across the entire Hoosier state and beyond. The South Campus is at the Center for Hip and Knee Surgery at St. Francis Hospital--Mooresville and the North Campus is located on 86th Street in Indianapolis at St. Vincent Hospital.
